The Crash Test
On the request of their readers, Motorrad Magazine organised a motorcycle jeans comparison test. With the ambition to create a crash situation that was a close to a real live situation as possible they got creative. With a pair of dummy legs - weighing 40kg - they set off to the Neuhause Airport. There at a speed of 80km/h they dragged the jeans one by one over the rough asphalt covering a distance of 30 meters.
The Winner
After the test the REV'IT! Lomabard Jeans were only minimally damaged and withstood the abuse with flying colours. On top of that, the jeans scored best on safety and received the most points for comfort both on and off the bike. In each of the categories tested, Lombards received the prestigious title of "TestSieger" - Test Winner.
Ladies will be happy to know that the REV'IT! Madison Jeans also received the top result for safety and comfort in the women's jeans category, earning them the title of TestSieger as well.
Why They Performed
The combination of abrasion resistant Cordura Denim and REV'IT!'s uniquely woven Polyamide PWR | Shield panels combine to offer 5.9+ seconds of abrasion resistance and an unsurpassed level of cut and tear resistance. These unique panels developed in house by REV'IT! R&D are light weight and breathable which make sure your riding jeans also feel comfortable against your skin. No itching or chafing will occur like cheaper protective jeans and the Coolmax fibre woven into the Cordura Denim draws moisture away from your legs to the outer layers providing pure on and off the bike comfort.
